Adopt a Vine!

home

We named our Restaurant in honor of the local grape variety used here in Manilva. To create more awareness for this “Agri”cultural heritage we came up with this project. Every year thousands acres of vineyards are being replaced by the more lucrative urbanisations. You can make sure that at least all the guests who visit our restaurant become aware of what Manilva is (used to be) known for and show them the process of vine growing and let them realise that the appartment they are in is most likely build on terrain which used to be vineyards. We have planted over 30 Moscatel vines along the wall in the garden which will be looked after with the expertise of local vinegrowers. You can adopt a vine and follow its progress through visiting our restaurant or through the internet.

Adopting a vine means you get:

•  Your vine in our garden, looked after with the expertise of local winemakers.

•  The vine will be labelled with your name to recognise it on your visits.

•  You can follow the progress from small plant to vine in all detail of your vine through our website on the internet by monthly updates.

•  Dinner for two with all the other “parents” at the Special Harvest Festival “Vendimia” in the first weekend of September.

An anual fee of 75€ will be required to plant and look after your vine.

We hope you can help us maintain this beautiful heritage which has brought already so many good memories since roman times.

Kind regards,

Ninke and Mark
